x4doubt is a small experimental application. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how it is stored. We collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

When you create an account and use x4doubt, we store:

• Account information — your email address, managed securely by Clerk.
• Fact-check history — the text or URLs you submit and the results returned, so you can revisit them in your dashboard.

We do not collect browsing history, device identifiers, or any data beyond what you explicitly submit for fact-checking.

Your data is used solely to:

• Authenticate you and display your personal fact-check history.
• Process your fact-check requests via third-party AI APIs (Anthropic Claude).
• Improve the service on an aggregate, anonymised basis.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

x4doubt relies on the following third-party services:

• Clerk — authentication and user management.
• Anthropic Claude — AI fact-checking responses.
• Tavily — real-time web search context.
• Neon — cloud database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy. Text you submit for fact-checking may be processed by these providers.

Your fact-check history is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Account deletion removes all associated fact-check records.

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However, no system is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

This policy may be updated at any time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated date.
